The USHL Prospect Blog will be no more...

It's been a fun journey since I started blogging in February, but it must come to an end. I'm realizing my dream by being added to the HockeyProspect.com scouting staff. I won't be writing as much, as I'll be scouting most of the time and will be very busy during the season. However, my opinions will be on HockeyProspect.com a lot, so you can continue to read my work over there. I'll be traveling around quite a bit during the season as well. I will post my new contact information below, to see it, click "READ MORE>>>. I am very happy to be starting my scouting career.

  1. Sorry to see you go...BUT...congratulations on reaching out for YOUR dream!!! You indicated elsewhere that you will start with the Fall Classic...would be really great and professional if you could complete your series on possible USHL surprise players before you leave. Do one a day and you will be well done before this wonderful site ends.

  2. That was my plan, but I am expected to start at HockeyProspect.com immediately. Thanks so much for reading.

  3. So are people going to have to pay to read your reports?

  4. That's still unclear. HockeyProspect.com is doing a complete overhaul of their website this week, and I'm not sure whether my reports will be public info or insider info.

  5. Is that company going to pay you to travel around and watch USHL games? Or are you just going to watch whoever Lincoln plays?

  6. I'll be doing quite a bit of travel, that said, my main focus will still be Lincoln. I'll be scouting all four days of the Fall Classic, and I'll be going on two or three roadtrips a month probably.

  7. So I have a question, can you give several good reasons why I or anyone else should potentially pay to read the scouting reports of an inexperienced HS kid when we can spend money to read reports from a reputable scout?

  8. If that question is directed at me, no one is making you read my reports. If you prefer a different scout other than me, please feel free to read that scout's work, but I hope that everyone that does in fact like my scouting reports will read them on HockeyProspect.com, whether access to my articles are free or not.

  9. Not sure who else that question would be directed to. but you sure aren't giving me any reason to consider paying to read your "scouting" reports. It's one thing to read something on a blog for free, totally different when there is a chance we may have to pay to read an article.

  10. Author of the USHLPB here, my prospect reports are free at least for now. My Michael Parks report is on the front page of HockeyProspect.com. Thanks for reading!

Keep it clean, and don't attack individual players.
